What do I need to have ready before I try swapping stablecoins

You need a funded wallet, a supported stablecoin pair, and a clear understanding of what you are swapping. Without these three things, the process will fail or cost you more than it should.

Swap crypto

Live rates · no account

You send from your own wallet straight to the exchanger — nothing to connect, no account, and you stay on this page throughout. Rates are indicative until a swap is opened.

The swap is carried out by an independent exchanger and the deposit address above is theirs. babykitty.club never holds, receives or controls your funds, has no key to that address, and earns a referral commission. Opening a swap sends your receiving address, IP, browser and timezone to the exchanger for their compliance checks; we store none of it. Check their terms, fees and country restrictions before sending anything.

A wallet that supports the network you plan to use

Stablecoins live on blockchains. USDC on Ethereum is not the same token as USDC on Solana, even though both are called USDC. Your wallet must be set up for the specific chain where your stablecoin exists.

Check that your wallet software can handle the network. Most multi-chain wallets (like MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or Phantom) can, but you may need to add the network manually. If you have never used a particular chain before, you will need to add its RPC settings. The exchanger will provide these or link to instructions.

Keep a small amount of the native coin of that network in your wallet. For Ethereum, that is ETH. For BNB Smart Chain, that is BNB. For Polygon, that is MATIC (now POL). These pay the transaction fees. If you have zero native coin, you cannot send the swap transaction. The fee is usually small, but it must be there.

The stablecoin you want to swap and the stablecoin you want to receive

You need to know exactly which stablecoin you hold and which one you want. "Stablecoin" is a category, not a ticker. USDC, USDT, DAI, BUSD, FRAX, and others all behave differently in terms of liquidity, acceptance, and network availability.

If you hold USDT on Tron (TRC-20) and want USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), the swap will involve a cross-chain bridge or a multi-step exchange. The exchanger will handle that, but you must select the correct source and target tokens from the dropdowns. Choosing the wrong network for the target token can send funds to an address you cannot control.

The exchanger will show you the available pairs. Do not assume every stablecoin pair is offered on every network. Some pairs have shallow liquidity. If the pair is not offered, you may need to swap through an intermediate token, which adds steps and cost.

A clear understanding of the swap rate and fees

Before you confirm, the exchanger will display a rate. This is the amount of target stablecoin you will receive for your source stablecoin, minus any network fees and the service fee. The rate is not fixed until the transaction is mined. Slippage can occur if the price moves between submission and confirmation.

The exchanger will show a slippage tolerance. If you set it too low, the swap may fail when the price moves slightly. If you set it too high, you could receive less than expected. The default is usually 0.5% to 1%. For stablecoins, which are designed to trade at par, slippage is normally tiny. But it exists.

Also, understand that the network fee is paid by you, in the native coin of the source network. The service fee is deducted from the output. The exchanger does not hide these, but you must read the summary before clicking "Swap".

A backup plan for if something goes wrong

Nothing is guaranteed to work on the first try. The transaction might fail due to insufficient gas, network congestion, or a temporary liquidity shortage. If it fails, your source stablecoin stays in your wallet. You lose only the gas fee.

If the transaction succeeds but you receive the wrong token or a different amount, you need to know how to contact support. The exchanger has a support channel. Bookmark it. Do not reply to DMs from strangers claiming to be support.

What to do next

Once you have these things ready, the actual swap process is straightforward. The hub page titled "How stablecoin swaps work step by step" walks through the exact sequence of clicks and confirmations. That page is the next logical read. It assumes you have already prepared what is listed here.

Do not skip the preparation. Jumping in without checking the network, the native balance, and the pair will waste your time and cost you gas fees for nothing.
